Coelho’s “The Witch of Portobello” hits Iran’s bookstores

TEHRAN -- Paolo Coelho’s latest novel “The Witch of Portobello” translated by Arash Hejazi and published by Caravan Publications is now available in bookstores.
“The Witch of Portobello” narrates the story of Athena, an orphaned Romanian gypsy who was adopted as an infant by Lebanese parents. Athena marries and has children of her own, but she keeps thinking about her real mother and finally decides to return to Romania to find her. Athena confronts many incidents on her journey.-----------The High Museum of Art Atlanta to screen Iranian films
TEHRAN – The High Museum of Art Atlanta is to hold its tenth, annual Iranian Film Today Festival from August 24 until September 29.
Eight films will be screened including Dariush Mehrjuii’s “Santuri”, Mani Haqiqi’s “Men at Work”, Saman Moqaddam’s “Café Setareh”, and Bahman Qobadi’s “Half Moon”.
-----------Tehran’s Art Bureau opens “Ettefaq” Gallery
TEHRAN -- Tehran’s Art Bureau opened the “Ettefaq” Gallery yesterday.
An exhibition of artworks by Iranian masters including Aidin Aghdashlu, Morteza Momayyez, Qobad Shiva, and Farshid Mesqali will be on display at the venue until August 19.
The gallery is located at No.28, Twelfth St., Ahmad Qasir St.

TEHRAN -- The photos of valuable Persian historical items kept at the Louvre Museum is soon to be published by the Saba Art and Cultural Institute.
Most of the items are over 2,000 years old and have never been seen by many Iranians.

TEHRAN -- The Arabic translation of “Memories from Imam Khomeini’s Life” written by Gholamali Rajaii has been published by Al-Hoda International Publications.
The book contains 120 memories narrated by the Imam’s friends and relatives
